Silver Jewellery Demo & Exhib

Following the success of our Silver Exhibition and Demonstration weekend last year, The Mariana-Art Gallery in St. Briavels will be hosting an Exhibition and Demonstration by silver artist Debbie Aldecoa on Saturday/Sunday 13th/14th September 2008. Debbie has been producing silver jewellery for five years incorporating both traditional and modern ideas. Within the limitations of the gallery setting, she will be demonstrating the techniques involved in making simple bracelets, intricate wrap-around chains, as well as explaining the procedures for making acid etched, oxidized, reticulated and fused silver. All of Debbie’s jewellery is made from 925 Silver, many items of which incorporate crystals, pearls and hand-made glass beads. These demonstrations will take place at 11.00am and 2.00pm on both the Saturday and Sunday and provide an excellent opportunity to see how quality hand-made silver jewellery is fabricated and finished with ample opportunity to discuss your requirements with the artist herself. There will be a FREE PRIZE DRAW to visitors over this special weekend to win a hand-made silver bracelet decorated with David Christensen amber coloured glass beads, worth £70. Jewellery on display will be available for purchase and a few examples can be seen on the Mariana-Art website.
