Reviews

We have just returned from a wonderful weeks stay at Rookery Cottage. A jewel in a pretty, peaceful setting and ideally situated for wonderful scenic trips throughout the Forest of Dene and surrounding areas. Julie, the owner, was a perfect hostess and her welcome package of "essentials" were a lovely touch. The accommodation was clean, bright and fresh with a homely air and the private courtyard, at the rear of the cottage, a lovely spot to relax after a busy day exploring the area. We can thoroughly recommend this tranquil haven for anyone looking to explore the area.

I stayed here in February 2009 and had such a lovely stay at the Rookery. The lady who owns it (apologies for forgetting your name) was such a wonderful host. She greeted us on arrival but then left us to our own devices. Inside the cottage there was a little welcome pack of fresh coffee, milk, fruit juice, choc's and fresh flowers, and breakfast things. It made such a nice touch. The actual cottage is a perfect home from home set in a beautiful location and i would highly recommend this to anyone.
